As the simplest ketoxime compound, Acetone Oxime (CAS 127-06-0) plays an irreplaceable role in organic synthesis and is a key raw material for pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, dyes, and organosilicon coupling agents.

The Acetone Oxime functional group (C=N–OH) in Acetone Oxime gives it unique chemical reactivity. It is an important substrate for the Beckmann rearrangement, used to synthesize amide compounds and lactam pharmaceutical intermediates. In agrochemicals, Acetone Oxime is a basic raw material for producing precursors of various insecticides and herbicides.

Acetone Oxime is also used as an analytical reagent for the identification of nickel, cobalt, and other metal ions. In the dye and organosilicon coupling agent industries, it remains an indispensable synthetic raw material.

In coatings and adhesives, Acetone Oxime serves as an isocyanate blocking agent, enabling low-temperature crosslinking of powder coatings on heat-sensitive substrates. It is also widely used as an anti-skinning agent in alkyd resin coatings. With the continued growth of the global pharmaceutical and agrochemical industries, demand for Acetone Oxime as a key synthetic intermediate is expected to rise further.
