Swimming pool water treatment chemicals

Swimming pool water treatment chemicals are chemicals used to maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of swimming pool water. The following are some common swimming pool water treatment chemicals:

Disinfectants: Commonly used disinfectants in swimming pools include chlorine and bromine. Chlorine disinfectants, such as chlorine powder, chlorine tablets, chlorine gas, or liquid chlorine, are used to kill bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms. Bromine disinfectants, such as bromine pills or bromide compounds, can also be used for disinfection.

PH regulator: The pH value of a swimming pool needs to be controlled within an appropriate range, usually between 7.2 and 7.8. Alkaline substances such as alkaline hydroxides (such as sodium hydroxide) can be used to increase pH, while acidic substances such as hydrochloric acid can be used to reduce pH.

Scaling and anti scaling agents: Scaling and sediment may appear in swimming pools, and the use of scaling agents can prevent their formation. Antifouling agents can reduce lime deposition and the generation of other dirt.

Bacterial inhibitors: In addition to disinfectants, other bacterial inhibitors can also be used to enhance the disinfection effect and reduce the demand for disinfectants. Common bacterial inhibitors include copper compounds and silver compounds.

Turbidity control agent: The turbidity in swimming pools is affected by suspended particles, and the use of turbidity control agents can help settle suspended particles and improve the clarity of water quality.

Anti algae agents: Algae can easily grow in swimming pools, and the use of anti algae agents can prevent the growth and reproduction of algae.

Water balance regulator: It is necessary to maintain an appropriate water balance in the swimming pool, including calcium hardness, alkalinity, and total alkalinity. Water balance regulators can be used to adjust these water quality parameters to ensure the stability and comfort of water quality.

It is necessary to select and use these medications reasonably based on the specific situation and the requirements of the swimming pool, and follow relevant safety operations and recommendations. In addition, it is crucial to regularly monitor the water quality of swimming pools and make necessary adjustments.
