What is PAPEMP and how does PAPEMP work?

PAPEMP, full name is polyamino polyether methylene phosphonic acid, is a new type of water treatment agent. It has high chelating and dispersing performance, high calcium tolerance and excellent scale inhibition performance.PAPEMP is used as corrosion and scale inhibitor in circulating cooling water system, especially suitable for high hardness, high alkalinity and high pH environment. It has strong scale inhibition for calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate, and can effectively stabilize iron, zinc and manganese oxides, and is also very effective against silicon and silicates. In addition, PAPEMP has a synergistic effect on biocide when used in combination with certain non-oxidizing biocides.

PAPEMP has a very high scale inhibition capacity, e.g., it inhibits calcium carbonate deposition at a calcium carbonate concentration of 300 times the solubility product of calcium carbonate. It has a very high calcium tolerance, thousands of times that of HEDP (Hydroxyethylidene Diphosphonic Acid.) PAPEMP is permitted to be used under alkaline conditions, high calcium, high alkalinity, and at a concentration factor of 10.

PAPEMP can also be used as membrane scale inhibitor for reverse osmosis system, scale inhibitor and corrosion inhibitor for high salt content, high turbidity and high temperature system such as multi-stage flash system, such as scale inhibitor for high temperature and high turbidity water system of coal system. It can also be used as textile printing and dyeing auxiliaries and papermaking auxiliaries (yellowing inhibitor), can replace EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid), DTPA (diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid) and NTA (nitrilotriacetic acid).

The normal dosage of PAPEMP is 5-100mg/L. Unlike other chemicals, the more it is dosed, the better the effect, and it can be used in combination with polycarboxylic acid.
Package and use of PAPEMP

PAPEMP is usually packed in plastic drums, 25Kg or 250Kg per drum, and should be stored in a cool place indoors, with a storage period of ten to twelve months. As PAPEMP is acidic, it needs to pay attention to labor protection during operation, avoid contacting with skin and eyes, once contacted, it should be flushed with plenty of water immediately.
