The main component of PBTCA (2-PHOSPHONOBUTANE-1,2,4-Tricarboxylic Acid) is 2-Phosphonobutane Acid, which is an organic phosphate compound.

PBTCA has a wide range of applications, mainly including the following areas:

Water treatment agent: PBTCA can be used as a stool resistant and corrosion agent in a water treatment agent. It is combined with metal ions such as calcium and magnesium to form a stable complex, thereby inhibiting the deposition of hard salt in the water and the formation of dirt. At the same time, PBTCA can also form a protective corrosion film to reduce the corrosion of metal equipment and pipelines.

Cooling circulating water system: PBTCA is often used in water treatment of cooling circulating water systems to prevent scale, biological adhesion and metal corrosion. It can help maintain the thermal conductivity and operating effect of the system and extend the service life of the equipment.

Moisturizer and disinfection agent: Since PBTCA has a certain killing and inhibitory effect on microorganisms, it is also used in cleaner, disinfectants and personal care products to prevent bacteria, fungi and other microorganisms from grow and spread.
