Water treatment: As an organic chelating agent in water treatment agents, it is used to remove heavy metal ions (such as calcium, magnesium, iron, etc.) from water and prevent the formation of scale and water alkali.

Corrosion inhibitor: HEDP can be used as a corrosion inhibitor in industrial production to protect equipment from metal corrosion.
