In low- and medium-pressure boilers, scale formation on tube walls can lead to hot spots and eventual tube failure. MA-AA is a preferred dispersant for boiler water treatment because it remains stable at temperatures up to 300°C. It effectively disperses sludge and prevents the formation of hard, adherent scale. Combined with a phosphate program, MA-AA helps maintain a soft sludge that can be easily removed by blowdown.
