Acid pickling corrosion inhibitor is a chemical agent added during the pickling process, mainly used to reduce the corrosion and attack effect of acid on metal surfaces, thereby achieving corrosion inhibition. Its main functions can be summarized as follows:

Relieve corrosion: Acid pickling corrosion inhibitors can react with acid to form a protective film that adsorbs on the metal surface. This thin film can isolate direct contact between acids and metals, thereby reducing the corrosive effect of acids on metals. By forming a corrosion inhibitor film, the corrosion rate of metals during the pickling process can be slowed down, protecting the integrity and quality of the metal surface.

Improving pickling effect: pickling corrosion inhibitors can work together with acid to improve the cleanliness of metal surfaces and the removal of oxides during the pickling process. It can form complexes or colloids with acids and metal surfaces, enabling acids to more effectively dissolve and remove oxide scales, rust, and impurities on metal surfaces. This can improve the efficiency and quality of pickling, and enable better treatment and preparation of the metal surface.

Reduce waste liquid pollution: Acid pickling corrosion inhibitors can also reduce the degree of waste liquid pollution during the acid pickling process. By reacting with acids to generate stable complexes or colloids, the dissolution of metal ions and the metal content in the waste liquid can be reduced, thereby reducing the environmental pollution risk of pickling waste liquid.

It should be noted that the selection and use of acid pickling corrosion inhibitors should be determined based on specific metal types, acid types, and process requirements. In practical applications, the instructions and usage methods provided by the manufacturer should be followed to ensure safety and the best pickling and corrosion inhibition effect.
