Pickling corrosion inhibitor is a special chemical agent used in the pickling process of metal surfaces. Its main principle is to react with the metal surface in an acidic environment to form a protective film, thereby reducing the corrosion rate of the metal surface. The specific principle is as follows:

Deoxygenation: Acid pickling corrosion inhibitors typically contain components that can react chemically with oxides and oxide layers on metal surfaces, such as reducing agents. These components can reduce oxides to metals and remove oxides and other pollutants from the metal surface. This step helps to restore the purity of the metal surface.

Formation of corrosion inhibition film: Some components of acid pickling corrosion inhibitors will react with metal ions and exposed metal atoms on the metal surface, forming a dense and insoluble metal salt or metal complex. This thin film will cover the metal surface, playing a role in slowly releasing active substances, preventing further corrosion of the metal by pickling solution, and slowing down the precipitation of metal ions.

PH regulation effect: Acid pickling corrosion inhibitors usually also adjust the pH value of the pickling solution to maintain it in an appropriate acidic range. This helps to accelerate the deoxidation reaction, provide the best chemical conditions, and avoid the adverse effects of extreme acidic environments on metals.

Through the above principles, pickling corrosion inhibitors can effectively remove oxides, pollutants, and other harmful substances from the metal surface, while forming a protective film, thereby reducing the corrosion rate of metals during the pickling process. This helps to reduce damage and roughness on the metal surface, and provides better surface quality and reliability for subsequent processing steps.

It should be noted that when using acid pickling corrosion inhibitors, product instructions and safety operating procedures should be strictly followed, and corrosion inhibitors suitable for specific metal and process requirements should be selected.
