It can protect materials from factors such as oxidation, light, and thermal decomposition, extending their service life and performance stability.

Specifically, the effects of isothiazolinone stabilizers can be summarized as follows:

Antioxidant effect: The isothiazolinone stabilizer can react with oxygen and form a stable material barrier to prevent oxygen oxidation of the material. It can capture free radicals or other active substances, reduce or prevent free radical chain reactions, and thus prevent oxidation reactions from occurring.

UV light stability: The isothiazolinone stabilizer has absorption and scattering effects on ultraviolet light, which can absorb and convert ultraviolet energy, reducing its exposure to materials. This helps prevent material degradation, discoloration, and deterioration caused by ultraviolet radiation. Especially suitable for materials that require prolonged exposure to sunlight, such as outdoor buildings, automotive exterior plastics, etc.

Thermal stability: The isothiazolinone stabilizer can also reduce the decomposition and degradation rate of materials under high temperature conditions. It slows down the thermal decomposition reaction by absorbing and converting thermal energy, maintaining the stability of the material’s structure and performance.

Inhibition of color change: Isothiazolinone stabilizers can prevent color changes in materials during heating or processing. It can suppress or slow down the adverse reactions caused by thermal decomposition of pigments or colorants, maintaining the original color and appearance of the material.
