KR-908 Ceramic Dispersant

Posted on January 21, 2024 By admin No Comments on KR-908 Ceramic Dispersant

Properties:

KR-908 ceramic dispersant is a salt of anion polymer. It can adsorb on surface of a varieties of minor particles and thus generate static repulsion, resulting in particles’ dispersion and avoiding particles sedimentation and coarse turn-back.

KR-908 can be used as additives in magnetic materials, electron ceramic, papermaking, alumina ceramic, household ceramic, etc. It can largely reduce the viscosity of processing materials, the obtained slurry is stable and easy to be processed. Furthermore, KR-908 can fully volatilize during calcination process, no effect physicochemical property of product, no toxicity and no corrosive.

Alias: viscosity reducing agent, water reducing agent, grinding aid agent, dispergators.

Specification:

Items Index
Appearance Light yellow viscous liquid
Solid content, % 40.0
Density (20℃), g/cm3 1.10
pH(as it) 7.0-8.0
Viscosity(25℃) mpa.s 100-500

Usage:

KR-908, raw material and water with a certain content mix, then grind and get a high solid content and stable slurry, and reduce use lever of water and time. In the next spray drying process by dry-pressing or half dry-pressing, the obtained powder is good in strength and wear tolerance, shrinkage or fraction in calcinations is avoided.

The preferred amount of KR-908 is 0.2-2.0% (solid/solid), the optimum amount should be determined by experiment. It can also mixed with inorganic phosphate dispersants.

Package and Storage:

200L plastic drum,IBC(1000L),customers’ requirement. Storage for ten months in shady room and dry place.

Safety and protection:

Weak alkali, avoid contact with eye and skin, once contacted, flush with water.

Protective measures for KR-908:

When handling KR-908, it is important to follow appropriate protective measures to ensure safety. Here are some general guidelines:

  1. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear appropriate PPE, including gloves, safety glasses or goggles, and protective clothing, such as a lab coat or coveralls.
  2. Ventilation: Ensure good ventilation in the working area to minimize exposure to vapors or dust. If working in an enclosed space, use local exhaust ventilation or wear respiratory protection if necessary.
  3. Handling: Avoid direct contact with the skin and eyes. In case of accidental contact, immediately flush the affected area with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention if needed.
  4. Storage: Store KR-908 in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area away from incompatible materials. Follow any specific storage requirements mentioned on the product’s safety data sheet (SDS).
  5. Spill and Leak Response: In case of spills or leaks, contain the material using absorbent materials (such as vermiculite or sand) and prevent it from entering drains or waterways. Clean up the spill following appropriate procedures and dispose of waste according to local regulations.
  6. Disposal: Dispose of KR-908 and its containers in accordance with local regulations. Do not pour it down the drain or discard it in the environment.

It is important to consult the specific safety data sheet (SDS) and guidance provided by the manufacturer or supplier of KR-908 for detailed and accurate information on handling and protective measures.
